About Dad Shenanigans
I'm Jason. Software guy, reef tank nerd, home cook, and dad to a daughter who's teaching me more than I'll ever teach her.
When my wife was pregnant, I was terrified. Not the "oh wow this is big" kind of terrified. The can't sleep "what are we doing?" kind. I searched everywhere for real talk from dads who'd admit they didn't have it figured out. Mostly I found Pinterest boards and "10 Tips to Be a Better Father" listicles.
So I'm building the thing I wish existed.
Dad Shenanigans is a space for dads and dads-to-be who are figuring it out as they go. No pretending. No expertise. Just honest stories about the chaos, the wins, the days where lunch into zoo into ice cream feels like a parenting masterpiece, and the days where you're Googling "is it normal for toddlers to..." at midnight.
Sometimes I'll write about being a girl dad specifically. Sometimes about growing up online and now raising a kid in a world I helped build. Sometimes just about showing up and trying.
